Within the framework of the Islamic Hospital Aqaba’s to improve the level of medical services provided to citizens in various specialties at the governorate level, the medical team at the Islamic Hospital Aqaba, in partnership and cooperation with the Eye Surgical Center, performed the first corneal transplant operation in the private sector in southern Jordan.
The medical team consisting of ophthalmologists, anesthesiologists, operating technicians, and integrated and advanced nursing staff, was able to successfully perform the operation.
It is worth mentioning that there are pre-prepared programs for corneal transplantation in the coming weeks.
